Join Heidi Fledderjohn, MA, BC-DMT, C-IMT, E-RYT, in a hands-on exploration of simple, evidence-based, somatic techniques to regulate the nervous system. Practice neuroscience supported and easy techniques, that you can recreate anywhere, weaving microbreaks into your day. The goal: an introduction to practical, embodied tools for self-regulation and sustained well-being. Heidi is a Board Certified Dance/movement Therapist, registered yoga and meditation coach with 30 years of experience in mental and medical health care. She is also published author and sought after TedX speaker.
The Bracing Body
Allie Whitney, LMT, CHWC, SEP, owner of Studio A Body Therapy, will be teaching on how the body's fascial system tightens, tenses, and binds down when we lack the ability to draw (and hold) healthy boundaries in our life. Learn how chronic tension and pain can serve as valuable information about our emotions and relationships, and what you can do to find relief from the bracing.

Self-Compassion Mirroring
Katherine Jongsma, LMHC invites you to practice mindful self-compassion through an embodied psychodynamic exercise where we will express, convey, witness, and reflect emotion in pairs. Through this practice we will strengthen interoceptive awareness, or the ability to “turn toward” the parts of ourselves that are in need of our care and attention, with less judgment and dissociation. Kate is a licensed mental health counselor and the executive director of scribere, a nonprofit in Brownsburg that uses creative expression (theatre, movement, writing) to decrease stigma around mental health conditions and treatments.
